Avoid showing standard/default template

In our organisation we would like to use only our own predefined templates. The problem is that people tends to use the default templates i.e. empty documents(templates) in word excel powerpoint. Is there a way to let our users see only our own templates. We are using Office 2003.

Best regards.

The only way to get rid of the MS templates is to uninstall them. You won't
be able to get rid of Blank Document (Normal.dot), Web Page, or E-mail
Message, but if you add /n to the shortcut used to start Word, you can force
Word to start without a blank document (or you can use a shortcut that
includes a templatename to open a document based on a specific custom
template). It also helps to substitute a New... button (which opens the File
New dialog) for the New button that creates a new Blank Document based on
Normal.dot.
