babysitters checklist

I'm looking for a babysitters checklist with places that fuse box is kept,
fire extinguisher, etc.

I'm sure there are lists like that available but probably not as a Publisher
template.

It could be that the poster wants a list to tell a babysitter where that
stuff is but most kids wouldn't know what the heck a fuse box is.

I babysat as a teenager and never even knew where the parents were going. No
cell phones, email, etc. if there was an emergency, I knew I could call my
parents or run to a neighbor. <sigh> I guess those innocent days are gone.
Most people know their next door neighbors well enough to nod hello and
that's it.

In spite of the unneeded negative comments, a checklist of important
information a babysitter might need is a good idea. A google search turned up
210,000 hits. Pick one you like, copy & paste to Word or Publisher, and
modify as needed.

I always have to make sure my 9-yr niece stays downstairs when she visits
because of the last item.

A babysitters checklist is an awesome idea, I have made one up in word, but
the suggestions here have opened my eyes to things I didn't think of

Thank you for the positive input, my view on the negative stuff is that if
you have nothing of value to contribute then mind your own business, it is
really sad when one has to try to make a fool of someone else to try to
elevate themselves.

fyi, it's not dcs it's dcfs, if you have a babysitter at your home, would you
not want them to know where things that could save your childs life and your
home are?

Did you by chance check with the American Red Cross or your local fire
department? They usually have vast resources for these types of things
and are more than willing to help.

OTOH, my daughter is 15 years old, not a dummy or naive. But I would not
want her changing fuses in a neighbor's house. Yes, it's perfectly safe
to do if you know what you are doing, but electricity doesn't
discriminate in intelligence.

Perhaps a much smarter approach would be who to call or what to do if a
fuse blows.
