I am experiencing an odd issue with Access and it is beginning to annoy me.
For some reason, the Back-End of my database would periodically make itself
Read-Only, which won't allow me to add or update records in the Front-End.
The Back-End is on a server which gets backed up in the evening. The
Back-End seems to become Read Only even if I don't physically open up the
Back-End. There isn't a lock file either, but usually if I restart my
computer it releases the Read-Only. The users to that particular database
is limited and they all should be using the Front-End too. Could there be
something I'm doing wrong or is this a common issue?
Thanks for any advise.
