How is it when I used the icon for (Update Database) my DB size went from
24,000KB to 9,000KB

Hi Bob,
Did you mean to write Backup Database instead of Update Database? I suspect
that your original database may need to be compacted. In Access 2003, click
on Tools | Database Utilities | Compact and repair database. Then check it's
initial size. If you are using Access 2007, click on the Office button, then
select Manage, followed by Compact and repair database.

Did you mean to write Backup Database instead of Update Database? I suspect

and there it is sitting up there
