Running the PB of O2K7. Noitced the Save my Settings Wizard is Gone. So,
how does one backup all of their settings, preferences and POP3 email info
now?

Thanks

It's now called something like "Upgrade My Settings" and
connect.microsoft.com has a beta program for it (UMST, I think, 3.0), so
you can use it with XP.
Microsoft might release some content on Office Online on how to use it
for Office specifically by RTM.

A search at connect.microsoft.com gave no results for UMST. Nor could I find
anything simlar to saving settings of Office 2007.

A search in VISTA led me to Windows Easy Transfer, but, that is quite a
different thing.

I'd appreciate it, if you could give more specifics.

Hi Peter,

You need to make sure you are signed into connect. If you are not signed
in, you will not see the list of programs you can apply for. You'll only
see the list of "available connections". Once you are signed in, go to
the page with the "available connections". The second table on that page
lists the programs you can apply for. The program you are looking for is
"USMT 3.0 Beta". Just click apply. It'll be available until 8/18.

Hi Peter,

I am not surprised. I don't think Connect is exactly the greatest site
on earth...
