Backgrond color missing in e mails

When I put a background color in my e mails, it is
missing when the recipiant receives it. It is always
white no matter what color I use. Thanks, mj

Does the recipient have HTML capable mail client? Are you on Exchange
server? Is the server set to strip formatting?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
