background color of my cell does not change

[Colorblinded]

I have Excel 2002 SP-1. I am trying to change the background color of my cell
and as hard as I am trying the cell doesn't change the color. But if I go in
Print Preview it shows the cell with the color I picked.

Any ideas?

If the high contrast setting is turned on you won't see the fill colour.
