Background color

I inherited a computer which has the most horrible
background color (Neon Pink).
Can I change the color?
I have tried using Desktop|Properties...etc, but that has
not worked.

Click Start|Control Panel and select Display (or Display Options).
Click 'Desktop' to change the desktop background. Click 'Appearance' to
change the defaults for applications.
