Hi, Can anyone tell me what I need to do the have background music on the
whole of my website, without having to set this in each individual webpage.

Many thanks, Peter.

Personally I've found those type of sites to be annoying. Food for thought.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean lol.

Unfortunately, this is for a website I am doing for a friend and he insists
on music throughout the site, as opposes to just individual pages.

I was wondering if it is possible to create a blank page with background
music and use this as a DWT?

I guess I am just going to have to play and see what I can come up with.

Cheers.

Well, besides an IQ of under 70, you would need a FrameSet to do this. The
music is housed in a frame in the frameset, one that doesn't change. You can
even create a frame that is invisible by making it small enough. Of course,
this will REALLY irritate people, as they will not be able to turn it off
unless they go somewhere else, which they very likely will. I know I would.

Here is a page that details several methods for embedding sound in different
browsers:

Ok, I can take a hint lol.

I have advised my friend that it is a bad idea to have his site done this
way and that I would not want my name showing on a site that is liable to
'turn people off'.

He now has to make a decision on whether or not he wants it done my way, or
to try and do it himself.

Thanks for your input, and for keeping me on the straight and narrow :)

Kind regards,

Peter
