Background Sounds

I used to have sounds, usually wav files, that would be
attached to email messages and they would play
automatically when I read or looked at my message. Some
while back, that stopped happening. I can't figure out
what changed and why this no longer happens. Sounds do
work on my computer. However, if stationary has a sound
attached to it, the sound doesn't play for me. I have a
friend with the same version of Outlook and they do play
on hers. Can anyone help?

What version of Outlook do you use? (Please include the
build number, you can find this by opening Outlook,
Selecting the HELP menu, then select ABOUT MICROSOFT
OUTLOOK)
