Backing up before re formatting

Hi,

I need to reformat my machine, been running XP for to
long and its getting clogged up and slow as hell.
My question to you guys is;

How 'exactly' do I make a backup of my outlook data (all
of it) and address book?

I want it arranged so I can simply import the whole lot
and it is just as it was before the reformatting.

Can I just import the archive.pst file that Outlook
creates?
