backing up in entourage

Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) Processor: Power PC I've had a couple of problems with entourage, over the years. Our "tech" guy says to trash the main identity and start over. Problem, I loose everything! Grrrrrr!

I read that I can back up the Main identity, with all the settings, emails, etc.

Is is really as easy as finding the main identity, selecting "duplicate" and moving the "Main Identity Copy" to a safe place. Then if I need it, just moving it back, deleting the existing Main Identity file and removing the "copy" from the "Main Identity copy", and using it?

If not, what am I missing?

Thanks, in advance, for your help and suggestions.

You¹ve got the basics down, but read the details here:

Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU.

I'll check the links.

Don't know why it took me so long to try this support? Just a bit slow on the uptake, I guess.

Thanks, again,

Bobi
