Does anyone know if it is possibe to back up Outlook 2003
and all of its files and how is that done. I want to back
it up on a CD.
No need to ask more than once.
The files Outlook uses are listed here:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm
Outlook itself is usually here: %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office
However, making a backup of the files and the program directory isn't
enough. Much of Outlook's configuration is maintained in the Windows
Registry in keys that are not all in one place in the Registry. Do, if your
goal is to port Outlook from one machine to another or to create a backup
that you can restore if you ever need to rebuild your disk, just save a copy
of your PST somewhere. Then, if you need to rebuild, install it again from
scratch, restore the PST you saved, and tell Outlook to use that PST.
