Backing up Outlook 2007- backup option not listed in file menu

Does anyone have Outlook 2007, and if so how do you create a backup to the
..pst. folder? Also, do you know how to open the .pst folder? My computer
asks me to search the Internet for the appropriate program, even though
Outlook is already installed. Thanks!

to open a pst file, you have to be in outlook, and do a file/open/outlook
data file

to back up a pst file, back it up like any other file, copy it somewhere or
burn it to a cd

Or use the free OL backup addin available on the MS outlook site.
PS If you copy your pst file to another location ensure you do so when OL is
closed, otherwise the copy will be corrupt/unuseable
