Backspace and changing left indent

Lee

Hi, all. I am testing a document that has numbered
lists. The 'tab and backspace set left indent' is
enabled. When the cursor is positioned to the left of
text in a numbered list, and I press the tab key, the text
automatically indents AND changes to the next numbered
style. List Number 2 indents to List Number 3. The
backspace works in a similar fashion. However, it
sometimes does not change to the higher level style. List
Number 3 does not change back to List Number 2. Instead,
the number gets deleted. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am using Word 2K SP3 on Windows 2K pro.

Thanks,
Lee

G'day "Lee" <[email protected]>,

selecting multi paras with multi styles merely changes left indent not
level. Backspacing is ambiguous, stick with Tab / Shift+Tab.
