backup address book & folders

I'm new to Outlook, having used Outlook Express for several years with Win98.
With OE/Win98 I was in the habit of backing up my Addrress Book and Folders to a zip disk on a regular basis. I knew exactly where to find them on my hard disk. This is not the case with Outlook/XP. I have no idea where these files are stored on my hard disk in XP.
Where are they?

The file you need to back up is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's
where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup:

Thanks for the reply. It all sounds fine in theory, but doesn't work in practice.
In Windows Explorer I selected Tools/Folder Options/View and selected Show hidden files and folders
In Search, I then searched for *.pst and the search result was that there were no files to display
Trying this w/o Search, I haven't been able to find where my Applicationtion Data\Microsoft folder is located. What's the first part of the path? I'm on XP Home Edition, 2003
Thanks
