Backup for Workspace

Satish Kumar

Hi
We are using ProjectServer 2007. Can anyone share with me the
procedure of taking a backup for a specific workspace including the Risks ,
Issues and the Project Documents locally. And also the procedure to restore
the same workspace in the project server.
Thanks in advance.
Regards

If you're just talking about one workspace, it's not so easy. SharePoint
Designer (free) can be used, and probably will work ok, although you'll have
to test it out.

Just to take a local backup of content, you could try the free download of
Colligo Reader.

STSADM has a command to extract a single site, and restore it I believe,
but the actual command isn't coming to me right now. If you post on the
SharePoint group, I am sure they could help you out with this.

Make sure to synchronize the site after restoring it though.

Warning, everytime i POST anything in the SharePoint forum, and list that I
have project server, my post gets moved to "off-topic" by Mike Walsh...

he refuses to answer any questions about sharepoint, if you have project
server installed.
