I have vista and outlook 2007. I need to back up my info but don't know
which download to use. None of the downloads for this purpose specify both
vista and 2007 outlook.

What "download" are you referring to?

You need to define what you mean by "my info". I'm going to guess from the
context of your question that you want to backup your e-mail, contacts,
calendar, etc. information from Outlook 2007. If that is correct, you don't
*need* a "download" for this. All of your Outlook data is contained in a
single "pst" file (i.e. a file that has a pst extension). Simply find that
file (from within Outlook, go to Tools - Account Settings - Data Files and
under the Filename column you will see the name and path of your pst file).
When you are ready to backup your Outlook data, close Outlook and copy the
pst file (using Windows Explorer) to whatever backup media you have chosen
(external hard drive, flash drive, CD, etc.).

Also...this applies to Vista as well as XP...the version of OS is not
relevant here.

True enough... you don't absolutely *need* a download for it. I don't really
*need* a car or shoes, either. However, they are awfully convenient.

You can set the .pst backup tool to automatically back your .pst file up for
you. Unlike me, it actually remembers to do it on a regular basis. ;-)
