Bad use of Refresh

X-No-archive: yes

Hello, I just started using Entourage X today, and after finally
figuring out how to get my mail messages off of the Yahoo server I had
been using, and then *emptying my Yahoo trash*, unintentionally used
the "Refresh List" command in Entourage X, causing my 135 messages to
disappear. I now understand why this happened, but am wondering if
there is some way to retrieve those messages.

Thanks,
Marie

Hello?

Probably not. But just in case, try this. Make a new custom view:

Items: ˆ Messages

Location: All Folders
ˆ Include deleted items

Criteria:
<Specific header> <Newsgroups> <Does not exist>

(That simply catches all mail messages and excludes news messages.)

You may find your lost messages - with no Folder designated - particularly
if you have not yet quit Entourage since you refreshed, but maybe even then.
If you do, select them - you can command-click each to select all such you
find (or shift-click top and bottom if they're all bunched together). Then
drag them to your Inbox or any other local folder "On My Computer" which you
may have created to house these beforehand. That will copy them as saved
local messages which will not disappear.
