banner ads

since there is the java problem with banner ads (it seems that when i added
banner ads to my site then looked at it in my browser it just appears as a
white block) is there a way to rotate banner ads without using java in
frontpage?

also, does anyone know why i can see rotating banners on other websites, but
when i looked at my page (as noted above) it didn't work?

thanks,
karrie

was able to see the banners, but they have a grey shadow on the top & bottom
of the images! does anyone know why this would be?

Banner ads require a Java Virtual Machine installed on viewers PCs.
Many (perhaps most) PCs do not have a JVM, or have it turned off for
security reasons, so to those the Banner Ad will look like a grey or
white rectangle.

Look for a JavaScript image rotator to replace the Java version.

J-Moves has some seductive looking "tricks" like rotating banner ad's and
the like.
The price is good for their suite but attention to programming detail and
customer support is - wanting.

Dynamic Drive is great for finding code snippets as well....

Just do the requisite Google search for either of those 2 solutions...
