Baseline Value Roll-ups no working

I'm grouping my resources by the various work areas in-house. When I use the
resource usage view, to do the breakout, it won't sum up the Baseline Work or
Baseline Cost values. If I use cost and work alone , it sums up fine.
What's the deal?

Earlier implementations of Project didn't roll up totals for all fields. I
think Project 2003 does a better job but not sure if even it rolls
everything up. It's a case of the developers running out of time before a
drop dead release date I think!
