Baselined fields are edidtable ?

Hi All,

i am working with Microsift project professional 2007, as a desktop
version.

After creating a plan with list of activities, i have Baselined the
MPP and saved.

When i insert a baselined column ( ex : baseline work) , its allowing
me edit the value.

Kindly let me know is base line values are editiable ?

and kindly let me know how to set baseline values are non editabe ? is
there any settings to be done,,,,

HI,

Yes baseline fields are editable and no you can't lock any field. If you
have Project Server then some of the baselines can be locked.

One other thing to note, if you manually change the baseline data, the
changes do not automatically rollup to the summary tasks.

In order for the rollups to work properly, you also have to through the set
baseline dialog and tell it roll up.

Of course this begs the question -- we should not fool with a set baseline
anyway.
