Baselines in imported projects

We have imported some schedules into our newly installed Project 2003
EPM tool. Some of these projects had baselines saved and that baseline
data has transferred. However, none of our baseline-driven project
scoring is working for these projects.

Further, when I open one of these projects in Project Pro, I can see
data in the Baseline columns. However, when I go into
Tools>Tracking>Save Baseline, it appears as if there is no Baseline
saved.

These projects were originally created in Project 2000, 2002 and 2003 -
we had quite a hodgepodge before we installed the EPM tool.

How can we get our baseline data to drive our scoring? We don't want to
rebaseline the projects as we'll lose important stuff.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Like your nickname. Is it possible that the managers of the projects in
question saved the original baseline in one of the ten addition baseline
fields (Baseline1 through Baseline10)? Here's how to find out:

1. Open one of the projects
2. Click Tools - Tracking - Save Baseline
3. Click the drop-down list below the Save Baseline option
4. Look for a date after any of the additional baselines

If you see a date after any of the 10 additional baseline fields but for the
Baseline set of fields, then continue with the following process in the Save
Baseline dialog:

1. Select the Save Interim plan option
2. Click the Copy drop-down list and select the Baseline that currently
holds the original baseline (Baseline1 through Baseline10)
3. Click the Into drop-down list and select the Baseline field
4. Make sure the Entire project option is selected and then click OK

If you don't see a date for any of the 11 baseline sets of fields, then it
would appear no baseline was saved with the project. Hope this helps.

Excellent! Thanks for letting me know the process worked, although in a
slightly different way.
