"Basic" Frontpage Question

Hi all

I am VERY new at website design but Frontpage makes it "easier". I am
trying to do some updates to my company's intranet but am having a
ptoblem. When I try to edit the page with Frontpage I can only make
changes to like the center of the page. On the left hand side of the
page there are menus and some broken links I need to take out. But it
just displays the left hand side as blank. I cant just click in there
and retype things, or remove things.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

If you are using FrontPage 2003.
Look for a File *whatever.dwt
I might be that they used a dwt (dynamic Web Template)
If so you can make the changes there and then update all the files at the same time.

A clue would be if you find at the top of your pages (in code view)
something like ....
<!-- #BeginTemplate "*name.dwt" -->
F1 and look up DWT

Thanks for the reply!

I am using FP 2002. Digging through the code I do not find any .dwt
files....

Thanks

Do you see any code that looks similar to this:

<!--webbot bot="Include"

That would mean that the part you are trying to edit is actual a seperate
page that is beinging included on the page you have open.

Yes I found it but when I open it, it only has the very upper left hand
"box" of items in it. Not the entire left hand side of page. Sorry
I'm such a beginner =0
