Does Outlook 2007 need Microsoft office 2007 to work?

Problem: I bought Outlook 2007, but I only have a trial version of
Microsoft Office 2007....

Do I need to purchase Microsoft Office 2007?

I do have Microsoft Works

I have outlook 2007 with business contact manager, the contacts from outlook
sync to my blackberry rim 8310, but not the contact that are in business
contact manager does anyone know how to sync all of it?
