Is it possible to batch print word documents ie without opening each one
first or do i have to purchase third part software? would appreciate any

Doing it that way will open the document and then print, i need to be able to
print without opening document first, i have upwards of 1200 word documents
that need printing.

To print a file, Windows HAS to use the application to format the output
so as to be suitable for printing. Yes you may "dump" a file into a
print queue, but all you will get is a pile of paper covered with
garbage characters. Word will open, print, and close, 1200 times,
whoopee, its a computer, it doesn't care. It will will likely be the
printer that is the bottle neck.

That isn't quiet true there are third party applications that run batch jobs
outside of the application. You are of course quiet right in that the
computer doesn't care about the processing and opening 1200 documents. I do
care though as i want to be able to use my machine while the printing takes
place.
Thanks anyway

What I said is ALL true, even you admit that it is the application that
is doing it. The only difference is it doesn't have a USER Interface.
