BCM failure-Runtime ECall methods must be packed into a system mod

I'm back--I have spent the past two hours in a live chat with a Dell
Computer's Technical rep. Dell installed Outlook on my new computer so I
called them as the support is FREE. His suggestion was to RESTORE back to
last week and lose everything I had done following that point. That's
assuming that MS caused this problem with an automatic update. I loaded
QuickBooks on Saturday and he thinks that caused the problem. How can so
many folks here have this problem--does everyone use QuickBooks? I don't
think so!! Anyway, does Microsoft ever look at these questions? Why is
there no fix showing up on our computers? Does one have to pay the
outlandish costs for support dealing with something MS caused in the first
place? Any suggestions from those of you reading these blogs would be
appreciated.

Soory, that's not the answer but confirm your suggestion that something wrong
with Dell's configuration.
For ex, current toshiba settelite pro computers come with preinstalled XP
where Outlook with BCM installed -- the proble is that MS SQL server instanse
doesn't run ... nothing hep -- even toshiba's help desk -- you need buy pure
XP and install all (office and db) to make it work.
