BCM Installation Failure

Business Contact Manager does not install after installing Outlook 2007
on Windows XPSP2. Dialog box refers to install log. Note 1: 1708
message in install log before installation fails. Is there a fix to
this problem?

Thanks for responding to my post. I am installing Business Contact
Manager for Outlook 2007 (as stated in the dialog box). I have checked
the Add or Remove Programs to confirm that Microsoft .NET Framework 2
is installed as well as SQL Server Express Edition.

I am also having great difficulty in installing BCM. After countless
attempts, I finally got through the install successfully, but upon launching
Outlook, I got an SQL Server error (could not connect). I was then unable to
make it through an attempted migrate of data from Quick Books into Office
Acct Pro (received same error).

I now cannot install BCM or OAPro. I continually get the install interrupted
with the SQL error. I have tried installing just the SQL Express 2005, but
even that now fails. The other components of Office 2007 work fine.

I am about to give up on switching to BCM (from ACT!) and Office Acct Pro
(from QB) as if I cannot even get them installed without problems, what
awaits me if I ever succeed? Very disappointed as I was VERY excited about
the prospect of having all my data in one spot.

If your SQL Express 2005 installs fails, then BCM will not work.

I would try uninstalling all programs in Add/Remove with "SQL Server"
in their name, and then installing Sql Exress SP1. If that fails, you
should fix the problem before trying to install BCM again.

It seems that the actual error occurs earlier in the log file, which
I
did not notice until now:

"MSI (s) (44:EC) [17:18:22:204]: Product: Business Contact Manager
for
Outlook 2007 -- Error 1308.Source file not found: C:\BCM\program files
\Microsoft Small Business\Business Contact Manager\en-US
\Microsoft.BusinessSolutions.eCRM.OutlookAddIn.CSUtils.resources.dll.
Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

Error 1308.Source file not found: C:\BCM\program files\Microsoft
Small
Business\Business Contact Manager\en-US
\Microsoft.BusinessSolutions.eCRM.OutlookAddIn.CSUtils.resources.dll.
Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

I moved the BCM installation files from the DVD to the harddrive in
folder C:\BCM although installing from the DVD gave the same error
message.

I checked that the
Microsoft.BusinessSolutions.eCRM.OutlookAddIn.CSUtils.resources.dll
file exists and is accessible. However, the installation program
seems not to be able to see it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
