BCM Needs more customization

Microsoft, kudo's on the idea of a contact management system that integrates
with other windows applications, this is exactly what I need, now can you
make it more like ACT!
As I am sure you are aware, it has a few bugs--quite a few. The biggest
issue I am having is that I can not customize the forms and fields that I
want to. I understand that there are 40 customizable fields, but they are
hidden as if on a separate worksheet without the capability of even adjusting
the layout.
I am in land acquisition and I need to track the opportunities that we
encounter, but the opportunities form is not customizable and I find myself
continually compromising to try and make it work. Ideally I would like to
beable to adjust the properties to every field just like using Access. I want
to beable to hide the products and servides , and five or six other fields
that I don't use, so that my team and I won't forget to enter data the
necessary data in the few fields we actually use. In addition, I need to
beable to force certain fields to be populated before saving.
Is Microsoft working on any of this? Will it be sent out in an update, or
should I go back to ACT! for a few more years?
