beginner needs serious help (please please please??)

hi:
my task for an assignment at uni is to develop a wage calculator which takes
information from a file called employee.txt i have absolutely no idea how to
do it, please can someone help me, i have msn messenger and the specification
and the employee.txt file on hand to show you - its very difficult to explain.

please please please help - this is worth 75% of my grade and there's no one
- not even teachers - that i can talk to.

Text files can be imported or linked to via File | Get External Data menu.

no i mean i'm using forms in access (blank database -> forms -> create in
design view) it has to be programmed, i need parts of the file to show in a
textbox and the rest of them, i need to calculate things like wages, tax,
national insurance, pension etc. if it helps the file that i have is a comma
(,) separated notepad file - i will also need to export all results to
another file which access will create.

As I noted, you can import the data into ACCESS, and then use a query to
display / calculate the data results that you want in the form.
