Benefits of RBS

Can anyone articulate the benefits of having and RBS filled out? I work for a
large corporation whose RBS would be very complex, and I'm trying to justify
the expense.

The RBS field is used as a part of the Project Server data model. It
articulates "who reports to whom" in the company, and can be used to control
what resources and projects a user can see in Project Server. Hope this
helps.
