I’m looking for a practical way to back up multiple IMAP email accounts without having to process every mailbox individually. We have accounts hosted on different email services, and the main requirement is to preserve the existing folders, attachments, timestamps, and other mailbox information during the backup.
For a small mailbox, manually saving emails might be manageable, but it becomes difficult when there are several accounts with years of correspondence. A batch option would be much more useful because administrators can provide account details through a CSV file and process multiple mailboxes together.
Another thing I would consider before selecting any software is the available output formats. Sometimes an organization may need a local PST or MBOX backup, while in other situations the emails may need to be saved as PDF, EML, MSG, CSV, or another format. Having multiple choices makes the backup useful for different requirements.
I was researching ways to backup IMAP email and found that IMAP itself mainly handles email synchronization. It doesn't normally transfer things such as contacts, calendars, mailbox rules, aliases, or provider-specific settings. For larger mailboxes, filters can also save a lot of unnecessary processing. A date-range filter could be useful when only emails from a particular period need to be preserved. Similarly, duplicate removal can help when the same messages exist multiple times in a mailbox.

It supports batch processing through CSV, folder mapping, date filtering, duplicate removal, multiple export formats, and incremental migration. The preview option is useful as well because it allows the mailbox folders to be reviewed before beginning the actual export.
