Best positioning method

Hi there,
I have a question about positioning text/graphics in word. I am aware that
doing it with lots of returns is not the way to go about it, but what is the
'best' method for doing it then? I have seen it done with tables but i'm not
sure that is the best way to go about it. I'm trying to create a template for
a document, and I need to be able to position objects on the pages, with
spaces ready to fill in with the information for the particular document.

Any suggestions would be very useful, thannks
Andy

Returns and spaces work very poorly for your purpose. You are better off
using Tables, as the people filling in the form can type into them. Without
more knowledge of your document it's hard to be more specific. Bear in mind
that you can tab within table cells by holding down Ctrl when you push Tab.

You can also show or hide the table gridlines, and can show or hide table
borders, if you use them. Empty cells with no borders can help you space
things on a page.
