Best Way To Add Programs to Office?

I have a laptop with OEM version of Home and Student 2007 which was
preinstalled (no cds). I wanted to add Outlook w/Bus Contact Mgr. and
Publisher. I bought Full retail version of Office Small Business 2007 (got
it for just a little more than the upgrade would have cost!) since I'm
considering buying a desktop without Office installed and should be able to
add Small Bus 2007 to it using the full retail version.

My question is, should I uninstall the existing OEM version of Office 2007
Home and Student currently on the laptop, and then install the full Small
Bus. version? Or, can I just do a custom install and only install the
Outlook and Publisher apps? Is there another way I should do it? I want to
do whatever will give me less problems down the road.

Did you pay for the OEM version of Home and Student? If not that is a trial
version and will quit within a few months.

Uninstall the trial version (or the OEM version if in fact you paid for it)
before installing the commercial version of Office SBE. That way you will
get rid of the non-commercial header on the top of the ribbon bar in all the
programs.

I will unistall the OEM version and install the full Small Business version.
Should any add-ins I've installed also be uninstalled?

Generally when you install the Office SBE version any add-ins that were
installed for the H & S version will take effect automatically as long as
they were placed in the add-in subfolder. If they don't automatically work
you should be able to reinstall them. It should not be necessary to
uninstall the add-ins but I have little experience with them during
uninstall/install as you are doing.
