I have a Compaq C501NR notebook with Vista. I am going to degrade it
to Windows XP for several good reasons. I have Access 97 upgrade and
Access 2002 (for XP) upgrade on disk.
MS says: To install an upgrade version of Microsoft Access 97, you
must own one of the following programs:
Product
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Excel 97 & Word 97 for Alpha systems
Microsoft Office (all versions for Windows and Windows NT
Workstation )
Microsoft Office Small Business Edition
Microsoft Works (all versions for Windows)
Microsoft Access (1.0 or later)
Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS (2.0 or later)
Microsoft FoxPro for Windows (2.5 or later)
Microsoft Visual FoxPro for Windows (3.0
I have Microsoft Office _XP_ Small Business (2002) on disk. Will
Access 2002 upgrade from this? I am 99% sure this is how I got it on
my other computer, but its been a few years so I'm not 100% certain.
And Access will NOT install on the laptop now, even with Office XP
Small Business on there. But I'm lucky I can do anything with Vista on
there...
