Best way to share OneNote on central server

I would like to set up a system where different people share OneNote
notebooks on a central server.
1. Does one have to have a Sharepoint server in order to do this?
2. If so, is there a low cost solution? Is there a good ISP that offers a
low cost solution? I looked up one ISP, but it offered precious little disk
space and high costs.
Is there some sort of MSFT FAQ that answers these questions?
TIA and Happy New Year

Can I assume you mean an Internet service, as opposed to a service entirely
managed by your company's IT staff?

Any web server which supports WebDav should be able to handle sharing of a
OneNote Notebook. Alternatively, any system which lets you map a drive
from Explorer (even if you need to install additional client software) will
work.

I mean an Internet ISP such as Godaddy, etc. that would support the sharing
of OneNote notebooks. Do you know of any realiable one in general? MSFT
doesn't list any and I can't find any. Godaddy doesn't support it. TIA
