Sorry if this is basic - I am relatively new to this.
I want to monitor changes to the value of a job - I have two tables one for
job finance info and one for financial changes info. Basically we have two
costs - furniture and appliances. On the Finance info table I have original
furniture cost and original appliance cost. Also current furniture cost and
current appliance cost. i want to automatically update the current cost as
users enter items in the finance changes table. I know I can identify a
change as Furniture or appliance with a field value. I thought about main
form and subform but don't think this is the best way to get updates to the
main form but thought a form based on a recordset might be better but am
inexperienced in this area. Is this correct - I would be grateful for any
advice.
