Beta Fullfillment???

Like most people, my Office 2007 for small business beta version stopped
working. I was advised to try a technical refresh to correct. A no go. No
amount of remove and reinstalls could correct the propblem. All attempts to
remove the beta and reinstall 2003 failed. So, Tech support advised me to
install a trial copy of 2007 so I could get back to work until the 2007 final
release copy was shipped to us . I did. It worked. AND, I got an email from
MS asking where to send myNow, the trial is expiring and STILL NO FINAL
RELEASE copy!

Yes, I did that. However, that was to be a band-aid fix untill the final
release was received. Now, the trial is expiring. And again, the program has
lost functionality. MS will not allow a second trial download. Who do I
contact to get this resolved?

You can download the trial version from Microsoft's website yourself.

There is a final release copy of Office available now, but if the trial for
it won't work, then you must purchase Office 2007. If you're waiting on
someone to ship you the Office 2007 released version, then you may want to
contact them and try to expedite it.

You should be able to reinstall Office 2003, but you might have to go
through some manual removal for the various beta and trial Office 2007
versions you had installed. (This is one reason I don't recommend installing
beta software on a critical production system.)

I think you can use Add/Remove programs to uninstall the trial version you
have. Then http://pschmid.net/blog/2006/11/13/79 might help you with
uninstalling any leftover beta stuff.

Thanks. I/tech support have tried to remove the beta. Somewhere, some file is
left and will not allow 2003 back in; the newer version message. It's a beta
thing. Oh well. The trial version was supposed to be a band aid fix until the
final fullfillment was received. Shipping was delayed because of a delyed
launch. I tried to get onto the launch party list, but it filled soooo fast,
no luck. And, only one trial version to a customer, so the 'puter is now
essentially dead unless I buy the final release.

What should have been so simple, has become quite a pain. MS support in
Redmond in attempting to expidite now. It's odd, as big as they are, as close
as they are, and they are unable to simply give me the copy they admit that
I'm due. All I have to do is drive over and pick it up. Or, they simply give
me the activation code to keep my trial version working until I receive the
final release they are sending me. Anybody got a name and a number to call?

I don't know what you're talking about here, but it sounds as if you've been
in touch with Microsoft already, so that's your best route to continue.
