bgcolor in iframe

I have a page that uses an iframe. When visiting the page for the first time
or after tmp files have been deleted the main page comes up with the intended
bgcolor but the iframe splashes a white background until the initial iframe
page loads. I've spent a couple days trying to fix this minor problem but
haven't had any success. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
