BIG problem with Frontpage

T

Troy

I am using the version of Frontpage that comes with Office
XP. I installed it a month ago and it was working fine
until last week when it stopped working altogether. Now
it refuses to open at all. It gives me a blank
exclamation message when I try to start it up. I can't
even get it to run in safe mode. I have tried wiping it
off my computer many times and reinstalling. I've tried
the updates too. Nothing seems to work and it keeps
giving me the same blank exclamation that I now have
nightmares about

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanx

Have you tried the usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
4) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
5) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE
6) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, and MS Office

You may also want to change the following reg key (because sometimes a site
become corrupt, adn then as you launch FrontPage and it tries to open that
site, it crashes):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage
Explorer\Settings\OpenLastWeb (set it to 0)
