Billing information in EPM

Hi All,

Our organization is in the process of using EPM for billing to the client.
Currently we are using another tool which generates information like Emp
Code, Project, Group, Name of the employee, role rate (note: designation rate
is different from Role Rate), Capacity Billing hours (where we take 40 hrs
per week so 160 or 200 hrs for the entire month), Billing Hours (Actual time
spent by the resource in the month), and the final billing hours which will
deduct the no. of hours they have spent on Admin tasks like training,
meeting, leave etc. So I must get a report where I need to have all these
columns in one go.

Let me know the steps to do the same.

Let me first caution you that I would not recommend this solution as your
complete project costing solution.

With that said I do believe you can use this solution to good advantage.
You will need to create several custom fields and views to accomplish this.
I would also recommend using SQL reporting services to get scheduled weekly
or billing period reports.

You can use cost fields to calculate actual vs. billable as well as capacity.
After creating these fields you would create a view and add these items to
the view. I am unsure which version of the solution you are using or planning
to use so I would need that information to give you specifics.

I would also recommend you get a EPM partner to help steer you in the right
direction.
