Bizarre error message regarding formats.

Too many different cell formats.

I'm building a large workbook. I'm now getting the above
message whenever I try to format a newly filled cell, or
reformat an already filled cell.

The best place to start is with a search of Google newsgroups
with the exact error message within double quotes.
