I'm trying to get rid of a black square which pops out every time my
movie.wmv starts to play. Is there a way to do it?

Thank you,
Elzbieta

The issue is that there is a small amount of time from when the media player
starts and when it loads and begins playing the file. You might try
defragging the hard drive (makes loading faster) to reduce the time the
black square is seen.

In addition to what Austin wrote: If you have PowerPoint 2002 or 2003, you
can apply an entrance animation to the movie, e.g. a fast fade-in.

Thanks for the input.

The computer is new, which mean defragging is not going to help and I tried
the entrance animations - lot's of different once; together with starting to
play it outside the slide and moving it back - even then I got a vertical
line along the window box.

Additionally, the animation has got a bit of sound at the end which is cut
by 0:01s. I know it is a tiny amount but enough to stop the music in the
middle.

Any suggestion for sorting this one out?

Thank you

Hate to say it but that is a common assumption and its wrong. If this came
directly from the OEM I promice you the hard drive is BADLY fragmented. It
costs you nothing to defreg so give it a go.

To late Austin, the presentation is already sent.

But when I get the laptop back I'm going to do it and I let you know if it
helped.

Thank you,
