What did you choose when you ran the setup wizard from the BB CD?
What kind of mail account do you use?
If you have POP mail, who's your wireless provider? I know t-mobile has a
nice thing called Blackberry Web ...allows you to use your POP account
without needing Outlook running.

Actually, you have about 3 options:

1. If your ISP offers the Blackberry service, all your e-mail will be
forwarded to the BB unit.
2. You install the BB desktop software which requires your computer to
be on and online with Outlook running and automatically retrieving your
e-mail. When mail arrives, it sends the mail to the BB transmitters.
3. Your company mail server has the Enterprise server installed that
will forward all your e-mail to the BB.
