I think Blackle and Microsoft should form a partnership. Microsoft could
incorporate a Blackle template in Office. I don't think it would be hard to
have a Blackle theme for each Office product. Here's a few thing that I
thought of. I think it would work something like a photograph and a negative
of a photograph
Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint would have a "negative" affect on the
screen when you are typing. Then when users print, the pages will print with
black text instead of white. In all programs you could do a print preview to
see what the page would actually look like. When selecting colors in excel
for cell borders or patterns you would select the true color but the opposite
would show when the colors are applied to the spreadsheet. In PowerPoint when
you do Presentation, the true image would appear for the slideshow.
I think this would attract not only the energy aware. Children would find
this educational as far as how colors work. Photographers would use it even
if they aren't concerned about the environment.
