Blank Areas in Menu Options

Since working on one moderately large (60 pages) document) whenever I open
any document in Word (Word 2003) if I click on Tools in the menu, I get the
usual list but following "Options" is a large amount of empty entries. I can
see some group dividers but no text. If I click on "Insert", there is a lot
of empty space after the "Picture" option.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Other users have reported a lot of "Clip Collection" menu entries in this
vicinity; that phenomenon is caused by the Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for
Word, but if you have Word 2003 (not available in a Works Suite package),
then that's not the likely culprit (unless you've got the add-in left over
from a previous version?). You can delete the phantom entries by dragging
them off the menu while you have the Tools | Customize dialog open, but
until you figure out what add-in is putting them there, they'll keep coming
back.

Suzanne;

Thanks or the reply. I actual used the "Reset" under Options and that seems
to have cleared out those entries?
