Blank file is 316k. Why

I have been having a problem opening a file, so I deleted all data, named
ranges, Macros, etc,
and the file size is still 316k. Should it not be more than about 14k?
Any idea why???

How many worksheets are in your workbook?

Any pictures? Any objects at all?

For each worksheet, if you hit ctrl-end, do you end up in A1?
