In Office 2003 (word, excel, etc.), if "List font names in their font" is
chosen, you may see Blank Previews for many fonts. This may arise from
installing fonts in a non-standard way.
If this happens to you, you can solve the problem by deleting a temporary
file Microsoft Office creates to cache the previews, “fbc*.tmp†located in
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\.
After deleting this file, restart Word, and now the previews display
correctly.
