Blank Message Appears in Entourage 2008

It's not really blank emails, its completely blank windows. And its 2008, not on 2004.

As I mentioned, it only happens on the secondary monitor, so it is likely a display problem, not a database problem.

Hi Darren,

Can you please provide some steps to reproduce the blank window issue
that you're seeing? For example, how did you get the message window to
appear on the secondary window? Did you drag Entourage over to the secondary
window and then double click to open up a message? Or...? I'll try to follow
your steps and see if I can get it to reproduce on my machine. Thanks!

Very simple way to duplicate on my system:

Start Entourage
Drag "Mail" (i.e. Cmd-1) over to a secondary monitor
Open any email message by double clicking on it

The new window created automatically opens in a window on the secondary monitor. A possibly relevant tidbit: I have my monitors in the display preferences so that the primary monitor is below and to the right of the secondary monitor--and the new windows created in this process open on the secondary, but at the height of the top of the primary monitor.

If you would like, I can take a digital picture of it to show you what I mean.

Just tested on my secondary monitor and it opens with no problems.

Does it show in the preview pane or is it blank only if you open in it's own
window?

I do not know how to "download" your settings from the web page, as no link comes up in your response. I'm glad you can see my picture, however.

The monitor is actually a Acer AL2216W. If I open the email on the primary monitor (laptop LCD), it works correctly. I can drag that window to the secondary monitor and it will remain legible.

The problem only occurs if I have the main "Mail" window open on the secondary monitor, and then double click an email. Since there are no window elements, I cannot scroll, drag, move, or resize the window--I can only close it with a cmd-w.

And the desk is messy because I had to move some stuff around so I could get both monitors in the picture at the same time. It's never really clean, but it looks worse than usual in the shot.

Just subscribe to the list via the Entourage newsreader. The past messages
will be there.

If you can do an email, then you can use the Entourage newsreader.

Another benefit is messages downloaded are searchable by Entourage's
Spotlight search. By clicking on the "more" button you can get older
messages to search for help.

It looked clean to me.
