blank pages when linking within web

Nicola David

Can anyone help - was ok on FP2000 but in 2002 when trying
to link between pages in same web, I get -

(a) a completely blank page after clicking on a link (even
though the target page exists. I don't even get an error
message, just blank)

(b) when inserting the hyperlink, when I click on the page
name I want to go to, it inserts the 'htm' suffix right
into the link on the page I'm linking FROM. This looks
awful and isn't always appropriate anyway.

Anyone been there, done that? Pulling hair out in clumps.
Help appreciated.

Hi Nicola,

May we have the URL?

a. Are you open a web first or just opening the file? Always open a web
first File | Open Web or File | Recent Webs Does the page (HTML or Code
view) contain a base tag and if so remove it.

b. Enter the text for the link and select it first, then click on the
Hyperlink toolbar icon.
